MS & IT Solutions

We are constantly researching the most up to date technologies to keep our clients at the cutting edge of technological developments.

We are committed to your company’s success, offering personal, professional service of the highest quality and integrity provided by skilled engineers who understand your business needs.

This is why we bring you solutions to answer your business needs by following two models proposed by Microsoft: Core Infrastructure Optimization (IO) and Business Productivity Infrastructure Optimization (BPIO)

Microsoft Core Infrastructure Optimization

The quality of your IT systems is our business.  After years of experience creating and implementing solutions for many international corporations around the world, Microsoft created the Infrastructure Optimization (IO) model.  The IO solutions help standardize and advance an organization's IT infrastructure capabilities thereby enabling them to amplify the impact of their people, manage complexity and achieve agility, protect information, control access, and advance their business with optimized IT solutions.

After initially assessing your current level we work with you to introduce a standard and rationalized environment that will enable your IT function to become fully dynamic and continually meet the needs of the ever changing business marketplace.

Microsoft Business Productivity Infrastructure Optimization

Additionnally, MS & IT uses Microsoft's Business Productivity Infrastructure (BPIO) Model which includes a complete set of technologies that helps streamline the management and control of content, data, and processes across all areas of your business.

With the same type of maturity levels (Basic, Standardized, Rationalized and Dynamic), the BPIO covers on the other hand a different set of business capabilities (see the BPIO model below).

Maturity Levels

The Infrastructure Optimization Model defines four levels of maturity in the computing platform, each of which has specific and identifiable characteristics.

Level Characterization
Basic Systems are incompatible and complex.  Most IT resources are reacting to problems, just trying to keep things runnin.  With few standards and automated tools, support is labor intensinve and expensive.
Standardized IT departments are more centralized and effective, but systems remain complex, incompatible, and expensive to maintain.  Pockets of standalone systems reside in business groups.
Rationalized IT and business groups develop strategies and define IT policies, which are enforced through technology. Through standards and careful engineering, applications work together with improved compatibility.
Dynamic Business agility takes priority over cost savings.  It systems are highly automated, flexible, and respond quickly to changing business conditions.

IO Benefits
  • Simplified infrastructure and management: faster return on investment through more targeted IT spending and increased end-user productivity
  • Reduced cost and complexity: lower total cost of ownership by streamlining operations, eliminating waste, and reducing the cost of deploying desktop computers
  • Improved desktop management: platform for delivering a more secure, well-managed IT services portfolio to the desktop computer
  • Improved security: reduction of threats by maintaining up-to-date systems that are more resistant to intrusion and malicious software

How do we implement IO?

MS & IT's IO implementation Process

  1. Assess & Identify
  2. Evaluate & Plan
  3. Deploy & Secure
  4. Monitor & Maintain

First and foremost, MS & IT will establish a current assessment of your systems.  Without this we will neither be able to determine a goal nor a plan on how to achieve it.  The assessment will cover most of the IO's horizontal elements in order to identify their current vertical position.  For example, you may be in a Standardized level for "Identity & Access " but are still in the Basic level in "Client Security".

Once the assessment made and that we have identified your IO levels, we can evaluate the maturity level you are in and plan to move up to next maturity.  At this point, we can set up a project plan for your IT department to deploysecuremonitor and maintain.
